Hi

My current TRV expires June 22, 2018. My work permit expires July 22, 2018.
I would like to extend my stay after July 22, 2018 as a visitor until I get my next job offer.

1) Considering the above dates I would like to know if I should first extend my TRV till end date of Work permit? OR apply for a visitor visa to get status to continue staying in Canada after July 22, 2018?
2) Are forms for both the above scenarios same?

3) What is the approximate time taken by the time I hear about a decision?
