Application Stuck on Background check from more than 1 year

eligibility got completed in January 2024
application went for background check since then no update.
Anyone in same boat ?

Depends on where you applied from, country of citizenship and where you have lived. Canada requires immigration and security information for all countries. If you have lived in a place like China or Iran, it can take a long time for Chinese authorities to provide information.

I noticed from your previous messages that you applied from the London office.
I can say (based on experience) this is normal for that office. We still have people from Sep and Oct 2023 waiting for approval.
