My fiancee is an Ukrainian citizen that is currently in the US with an F-1 Visa. According to Canada's immigration website, the processing time for USA is 11 months, while for Ukraine is 8 months. However, people that I talked to think that the USA is faster. These are the questions I have:
1) If we get married in February 2013 and she decides to wait for her Visa in the USA, how long would the wait time be?
2) If we get married in February 2013 and she decides to wait for her Visa in Ukraine, how long would the wait time be?
3) Can she get married in the USA, get her medical check in the USA, but wait for her Visa in Ukraine?
1) 10 to 12 months. It depends where in the USA her docs will be send.
2) 8 months.
3) Yes, she can. She can also wait in the USA ( assume she still has a legal status) while her documents are being processed in Ukraine.
If I had this choice, I would pick Ukranian visa office as it faster than American ones. She just should be ready to Ukraine in case interview required.
I had a question, if a ukraine pr holder doesn't have a ukraine passport, can they still apply for visitor visa and stay in Canada? Also can they Pply for inland application for spousal application?
