Hi
I need some info regarding Ontario PNP. I have applied for student visa for one year masters program in law starting september 2012. I will be completing this course in december 2013. I plan to apply for PNP during my last session ie. during december but there is a cap of 1000 applications per year.I wanted to know if I apply during december 2013 for which year my application will be considered 2013 or 2014?
If the 1000 cap has been reached by the time you are ready to apply in December 2013, then you will have to wait until the following year (2014) to submit your application. If you submit your application after the cap has been reached in 2013, your application will be returned to you unprocessed.
Are you sure about that? I read this on their website:
What will happen to my application when the program reaches its quota?
At this time, Opportunities Ontario: Provincial Nominee Program is accepting applications under all categories and for all types of applicants. If this changes, the program will notify the public through its web page, Program Updates: What’s New.
The program does have a nomination target of 1,000 and all applications are processed on a first-come-first-serve basis. Eligible applicants should submit their application packages to the program as soon as they can.
If the program reaches its nomination target for 2012, submitted nominee applications will be assessed in the next calendar year. The processing fee for the nominee application is non-refundable and it guarantees the processing of the nominee application, irrespective of the calendar year.
Thankyou. I was all the more confused after reading Scyllas post, because it was inconsistent with what was written on website(But No worries sometimes errors do occur) . So it means I will be able to apply during december 2013 and my application will be considered for 2014 (keeping in mind the current situation where the nomination cap is reached very early in the year) am i right?
