Hi, all. Just want to gather applicants and share updates with other applicants who have been waiting for over 6 months for ppr. My AOR is Jan 17, 2019, been waiting for over 9 months now. Current status: Application approved as of Oct 1st but still waiting for ppr. Meds expiring on Jan 18, 2020. Please share your status here.

I got to know that file was approved on October 1st via calls to cic, but that application is still open. Don't know what else do they want. Maybe their waiting for my medicals to expire to ask for new ones.

I'm in the same boat. AOR 27th Jan, everything passed as of Oct 18th, according to IRCC on-call agent. Not sure what's the hold up other than possibly the medicals.. They should either just extend or ask for remedical, instead of needlessly waiting to approach the expiry date..

There is no pattern as to when IRCC asks for remeds, so it's definitely not an automatic request. This is manual intervention from the immigration officer and yes, PPR usually does seem to follow a remed request, once passed.
