Hi, I have done my masters degree in chemical engineering from edmonton and now working as process specialist in edmonton. I am going to apply for permanent residency of canada through AINP program in the post-graduate worker category. I have a doubt in AINP009B form. There is a question in that form:
"Industry and Association Standards required and obtained:"
My occupation usually requires APEGA certification but its not mandatory in the starting level. I have applied for membership with APEGA and it will take some time to get my application approved. I was wondering whether I should wait for EIT certification approval from APEGA or just send the application without clicking the APEGA in that question?

Thank you.

Just send email to Apega, they will send you a letter. Attach Apega letter with your AINP application.

You can send ur application first and the letter can be emailed upon receipt too.

Having an EIT status is positive for your application. I put my FIT status in the application and it went smoothly.

Hi,

Thanks for all the replies. I enquired from APEGA and they told me that my EIT application can take 4-6 months. So, I am thinking of going ahead with my PR application and will send the APEGA letter later. Should I click the APEGA requirement in that question now or not? Please reply.
