My family [ wife and year and half daughter] will be arriving towards end of March. I need to finalize an apartment starting April and I would require your suggestions in this regards. I work in downtown area and I need to consider an apartment having some parks , play area for kids so that my daughter can have a good time. Any suggestions would be of valuable information. I heard north west is good residential area. Even heard south east is not suggested, but most of the parks lie in those areas.
Look at Inglewood. It's in the SE, but on the west side of Deerfoot, away from the crummy areas. It's the oldest neighborhood in Calgary. Lots of history, parks, and neat places to visit. Also easy transit to downtown (the #1 and #305 BRT go through Inglewood plus others). My friend used to live there and it was a great place.
