Anyone travelled from India to Canada via Doha recently ?

I have a query for anyone who travelled from India to Canada via Doha recently.
1. Were you asked for RT PCR Molecule test to be done from Doha as well, as per my knowledge Doha airport doesn't offer RT PCR test for transit passengers
2. Were there any RT PCR test after you landed in Canada?

Guys i booked a direct flight from India to Montreal , and cancelled my ticket via doha. Reason being the cancellation was free of charge and direct flight costed almost same if i had to do covid on Doha. Moreover, Doha airport do not have any RT PCR testing on airport which added to this confusion

I had called Air Canada and the agent told me you can travel via Doha only if you hold Qatar passport. So i had to cancel the flight via Doha and take the flight option directly to Montreal from Delhi.

I am going to take Qatar Airways, and will stay for 48 hours at Doha (2 days hotel quarantine booked through official website "https://www.qatarairwaysholidays.com/qa-en/welcome-home-2-night-booking/overview") and get the PCR test. Indian nationals can have visa ( max up to 30 days) free/on arrival visa entry to Qatar (https://portal.moi.gov.qa/qatarvisas/visadetails.html?ctr=77&res=32). Quarantine will cost approximately 200 CAD and ~50CAD for the covid test . Still it was a cheaper option than a direct flight from Delhi or by Etihad via Abudabhi (they provide pcr test at Abudabhi airport with in the 3 hour transit window).

Thanks for the information. Did you called Qatar to reschedule the Doha to Canada flight? Did you have to pay the fare difference? I see the doha to canada flights are exceptionally high now

No, I didn't need to because my original booking was with two days stop over at Doha.

how was the experience.. any problems?
please suggest as thinking whether i should book ticket from india to canada via doha or not?

also do you know, if there is any similar issue when travelling from Canada to India via doha??
