Sept 6, 2017 onward CIC was supposed to send invitation letter to more people,

has anyone received any invite (email) from 2017 unfilled quota?

Hard luck again , I checked the list and my number is not in the list ... sucks

Target 2017 - Process 10,000 applications

Round 1 - Invited 10,000
Round 1 - Submitted 1200
Round 1 - Complete Package - less than 1000

Round 2 - Invited 6,500
Round 2 - Submitted ???
Round 2 - Complete Package - less than ???

Even if 6500 new invite send complete package with last 3 years NOA having qualified LICO, which is unlikely ...
>Total would be - Round 1 Qualified (1000) + Round 2 Invited (6500) = Total 7500 which is 25% less than quota for 2017 ...

>Expected outcome based on Round 1 experience = Round 1 Qualified (1000) + Round 2 Qualified (1000) = 2000



Govt intentions are clear, show carrot of 10000 and process 2000 only ...

Current Lottery sucks .... can we have FILTERS before Lottery ...

6500 new invited > I couldn't find number on CIC site, I was curious ... I was checking the list, reference number of those who got invited ... I counted all reference numbers .. list has 6500 reference numbers.

Round 1 - numbers were given by Minister of dept. in an interview (link 1), and other sites also have some info (link 2)

Round 2 - numbers either all may submit with complete documents or based on sampling principle (trend).

Thank you for those links. Much appreciated. I don't think that the department has any intention of coming close to its 10000 target.

I wish Dept check qualifying criteria of application and then do lottery.

There is no surety to get a chance, a person who may try after 7 yrs might get chance and someone else might just keep trying yr by yr.

In other thread, husband and wife both got selected, 2 selections in 1 family to invite 4 parents (2 +2) , but don't match LICO for second selection, irony, I m just sitting with LICO match to invite 1 parent. Wish Dept read/ gets feedback and update the process .
