You’ll lose implied status if you leave Canada. You may be able to return but won’t be able to continue working if you leave Canada while on implied status.

Hello, I’m in same case. I filed my closed work permit extension in may 23, I received request for additional document in sep 23, I replied back with document within 2 days, work permit expired in October 23. The multiple entry stamp on my passport is valid till April 24. I’m currently on implied status and I have to go to US next week. Can you tell me what happened in your case? Did it impact your visa renewal processing. Were you allowed to work upon return to Canada?
