I have applied for a paper student permit at the Hong Kong VFS office on 04 Oct 2016. Its been more than 4 weeks and I have received no update. I emailed using the web form and was told that my application is awaiting the result of a background check and that it may be a lengthy process.
I would like to ask if someone has any experience in dealing with this. Please let me know.
