My wife yesterday received a email confirming she has been accepted to sponsor me and my papers have now been sent to the UK.
But when I check online it keeps saying unable to gain information, ive tried many things ive used the UCI number and application number with her name and DOB my name and DOB and a combination of mine hers?
Is there a problem with the website? Anyone else had these problems?
I wouldn't worry about it. Its a very unreliable system which is not updated very often. Once we got SA it took a few days for me to be able to access ECAS with the application and UCI numbers provided. I have seen many people on this forum for whom it took weeks to show up on the system and be able to log-in post sponsorship approval. Seems a bit hit and miss on how long it will be before you can log-in.
If you're applying from the UK make sure you select your home nation (Scotland, England, Wales or Northern Ireland) rather than the United Kingdom as your place of birth
sometimes CIC has the wrong country of birth. My partner was born in Wales, but they had him listed as England.
You will need to add the dash to the UCI number as well. I know it's not listed with one on the forms, but it should be ****-**** if I recall correctly.
