I am wondering if anyone applied for a study permit from within Canada and if their application is delayed?
I am currently on a PGWP that will expire in Jan 2013 and spouse is on an open work permit that will expire the same date.
She now applied for a study permit (change status from open work permit to study permit and she applied online) and I applied for an open work permit as her spouse but it seems that the processing time/date has not been moving now for study permits for the last two weeks.
We applied Sep 15th and the CIC webiste states that the application takes 39 days (30 days when we first applied) and for the last two weeks they have been processing applications submitted as on Aug 26th.

I applied for my study permit EXTENSION as the one I had was expiring in Jan 2012. I applied (online) on Oct. 31st and received it on Dec 7th I believe.

I am in a similar situation. I applied for an extension for study permit (online) on Oct 10th. And I'm very confused about the dates on the website. It says 39 calendar days but they are working on an application submitted aug 26th, which is more than 39 calendar days.
I hope the process time is like this last user experience, then you would be receiving yours shortly and me at the end of november. I need that to renew my TRV as I'm going back to my country in january, probably 14th or 15th.
Please, post here when you receive yours!
Thx

ali.tariq,
Did it take the number of days cic website was saying? I was told that those dates have no logic, but I should consider something close to the waiting days they say.
yes, the time mentioned on the CIC website was true! i got the study permit extended in fairly same amount of time as to what the CIC mentioned on the website.
