My wife got admission in Canada for MBA, planning to apply for her student visa from US in Mar 2020.

1. There is no difference between applying from US or from your country of passport.
2. No as long as there is enough fund to live with family.
3. Hiding will give you ban of 5-10 years(if they find out). Nowadays too much information is being shared especially between these 2 countries hence hiding doesnt help. Also there is no criteria to disqualify to get dependent visa if one is working. Lot of people apply like this.

She applied for UCW for July 2020. She got admission but we yet to pay fees and apply for visa. Not sure about funds required to show and all yet. Admission team said once we pay fees they will connect with their visa consultant. I am checking options and will pay fees by next Monday.
