Does anyone here applied for a Student Permit from Sri Lanka?
I just applied to Fanshawe College,Canada for Jan/2019 for a study permit on Nov 01 through VFS Canada,Colombo office.
I just wanted to know if someone here applied in the same or other colleges and to see your timeline.

offline through VFS, my visa got approved on Nov 24th... how about your one? I think there is a delay now.

My friend also applied with me on the same day he only passed medical yesterday and his status reviewing eligibilty.We did medical as upfront.

When I was applying processing time was 4 weeks, but now it is 5 weeks.... Did he link his application to GC Key account?

As per other threads I believe if they are rejecting they will probably do it within first 2 weeks, you said he applied on 1st Nov so the chances are high to get approved (I'n not an expert ). BTW air ticket fares are high now, did you booked you flight?

Yes u r right if they r rejecting they do it within first week.
But y it is getting delay after medical passed only for his application?
How was your experience?

No idea... is he also following the same course as yours? because sometimes Uni delays to respond... they do extensive background check, so it takes some time if there is any complexity in his application (eg: work experience, previous studies etc.)
