happy new year peeps!
I got my notification of interest 2days ago. I am a doctor currently practicing in Nigeria which is a regulated profession. Please, I need a clarification. Do I need to have a practicing license from Ontario medical regulatory body before I can apply or that is a requirement for those already working as a doctor in Ontario?
I am really confused because I have limited time to submit my documents. Somebody please help!!!

No, you don't need a Canadian license.
Yes you need to have a practicing license
ofession in Ontario.see insert. ...
Regulated Professions
The following professions are regulated in Ontario. To work in a regulated profession, you must be registered by the appropriate regulatory body. You may be able to work in a related field without a licence, but you should first check with the regulatory body to understand what restrictions exist. It is illegal to use the job title restricted to regulated professions without a licence or certificate from the appropriate regulatory body.

FYI I'm also a nigerian doctor. What they don't specify for sure though is if it's a specific requirement for you to apply to them. I got notification too.what's your score?
You do not need to have it. I got the nomination with no license in Ontario

Yes, before PR. I received the letter if interest from Ontario, then I've gotten the nomination and finally received ITA. I do not have license in Ontario
So you 100% sure they won't need it when you apply for PR huh? ?
DO YOU KNOW ANYONE GOT PR WITHOUT LICENSE.
One more thing. ...how did you show intent to reside in Ontario? ??

I had visited Ontario, I showed an application for a job and two doctors who are my friends and live there wrote letters supporting my application
Yes you can apply for PR even without a license but you can not practice if you do not have a license. If you have a job offer, they will ask for your license anyway. If you do not have a job offer you can still apply for PR if you have been invited.
How do I draft letter of intent to reside in Ontario
