Any conflict btw pouse and parent sponsorship?

I'm sponsoring my husband as oversea family category. I submitted my application in July 2015 and already got sponsorship approval.

Would it be conflict if I apply for my mom's parent sponsorship in 2016? My parents are divorced so given our family size of 3( me, my husband and my mom) my income is eligible.

I was told by immigration consultant that there's no conflict. But I don't want to jeopardize our spousal sponsorship with any risk. I would rather wait for another year for my mom's application if anyone in this forum says there could be a possible conflict.

There is no conflict. However, you are far too late to submit a parent sponsorship application for this year. The 5000 cap will have either been reached today or will be reached early tomorrow.
