I'm currently in Canada on single-entry TRV and my PR application is being processed in Sydney, Australia. I need to leave Canada soon to attend my graduation in Sydney.
I'll need another TRV to enter Canada if my PR is not approved by the time I'm finished with graduation and other stuff. At that time, I will have finished my studies, I will most probably have no job, and have no property or anything I can consider to be strong "ties" to prove that I will leave Canada at the end of my TRV.
Is there anything I can do now (before leaving Canada) to ensure that I'll obtain another TRV after leaving?
Theres nothing you can do to "ensure it"
but you can definately try writing a personal letter along with your application.
Sometimes they can conduct interviews in the same place where you apply where you might be able to explain the situation better.
Also if you have some sort of plane "reservation" or ticket to show you will leave the country after your tourist visa would expire in case your PR is still not approved this might also be helpful.
It should be ok so long as they have no idea to believe you might remain in Canada "illegaly" which it sounds like you definately won't!
Hope you are still following this post. I am currently a student in Melbourne and want to apply for a visitor visa to visit my husband who is currently in Canada. Was it the case with you when you apply for your visa? And how did you prepare for your application?
I would really appreciate if you share your experience,
