To be honest we were not prepared for receiving the ITA and we have not kept the required average balance in our account.
Most of my savings are in the form of stocks and mutual funds which I intent to liquidate which will come into my account.
Also I am a co applicant and my spouse has most of her savings as fix deposits combining both we can easily fulfil the requirement.
All that money is our own and accumulated through salary and savings. I am not sure how can we go ahead with providing the details which will be accepted be the visa officer.
Your PoF has to be hard cash. Fixed deposits will be fine. Stocks and mutual funds are subject to market risk and can't be used as PoF since it could be worth a million $ or $1 depending on market conditions.

You are absolutely right, as I mentioned I am going to liquidate the money, but I am not sure how should I go about showing it, since it will be large deposit that will come in in the last month of my 6 months statement.
I have liquidated my stocks but they won't be enough for the 6 months average. do I also add my 6 months statement with a letter stating that I have diluted my savings in stocks and that money is only for canadian immigration
