Another minimum income requirement question

Hi

I got the invitation to sponsor for PR for my mother and i meet the minimum requirement for 2020, 2019 but for 2018 i have a nil return filed since i got PR and only arrived to Canada in September 2018. I did not do any work in 2018 and only got a job in 2019.

2020 - salary above required income
2019 - salary above required income
2018 - Nil income, since i got PR and landed in Canada only in September 2018

Has anyone had an issue like this? Am i not eligible to apply? Please suggest.

Zero income in your NOA for 2018? Then try next year. Make sure you have enough income before you try next time. Otherwise, you wasted someone's spot.


Btw, if you have any capital gain or investment income in 2018 and it makes your overall Line 150 of NOA in 2018 exceeding the requirement, then you can apply.

Since you took your chance and tried your luck by submitting EoI despite the fact that you knew you were not eligible. Extending that logic, I think you should take your chance again and go a head with sponsorship+pr application. I hope you understood

You didn’t apply last year when you applied or this year without any Canadian income in 2018. As others noted you never qualified and should be refused.
