Hello Team...I am in a situation and I need some feedback on what are my options.. I landed in Sept 2019 in canada...I am hoping to apply for pgp 2022...below is our family income and I am looking to sponsor my parents (so total member are 5)
NOA below:
2019 - 32k
2020 - 110k
2021 - 150k
2022 ~ 100k
if I have to apply for 2022, my income should meet lICO for 2019, 2020, 2021 but my 2019 Income is low..should I go ahead and amend my tax returns for 2019 and make it around 75-80k by paying additional tax..will this have any impact..would I then become eligible for 2022.. has anybody done that..what are my options..trying to plan ahead of time.
Was the additional income that you actually received BUT didn't file it because you try to hide it from CRA?
Or you are making it up....
I am thinking to make up obviously just to become eligible..ready to pay tax with interest!

It's tax fraud if you are reporting income that you did not actually have.
And what is your proof? You suddenly had cash income of 80k that you forgot?

Well, apart from not being a terribly smart thing to do, it’s also a crime.

Not 80k...i already paid tax on 35k... so its 40k is what additionaly I need to pay tax...There is something called as reassesment of IT...you think it wont make sense? dont judge...I am just asking

The PGP process is so weird that last year they didnt consider anyone from 2021 but from 2020 pool..

Just being willing to pay extra tax isn’t the point. CRA will want to know where the extra $40K came from and why it wasn’t reported in 2019. Did you with hold income? Did you get paid under the table….Potentially a whole ugly can of worms you are opening, as opposed to waiting a year on something you may not even get chosen to apply for.

1. Landed in Sept 2019, do you really think that CRA would believe you earned 75 to 80 K in less than 3 months?

Ok I got it....so its not a wise idea.

It’s beyond ridiculous, and let’s throw in fraudulent, to even THINK of what you were going to do. It’s amazing what goes thru peoples heads
The PGP is set up to ensure you have a history of earning a certain level of income to support individuals you want to bring to the country .

Especially with capital gains, it is not impossible to make 75 to 90 K in less than 3 months.

It's not wrong to come clean with your tax position. You can go for reassessment if necessary.
