a warm hello to everyone !!!!
i'm an dentist -3113, from India, and i wish to apply for the cap which has already reached 347 on 8th of dec 2011.
i have appeared for IELTS ON 11TH DEC AND WILL GET THE RESULT BY 27TH DEC, MOST OF MY PAPER WORK IS complete so i believe i'll be able to send my application in January first week, do you guys think i'll miss the cap????
i have a few doubts which i want to discuss , i'll be glad if you experienced members can help me with them
first,
1) do i need to send the proof of fund( bank certificate with my application or produce during the interview later???
2) is it better to pay the processing fees by credit card(i don't have one) or by bank draft???
3) i have calculated my fee to be 550$ (me, principal applicant) + 550$ (spouse dependent) + 150$ (minor 9 months old son) = 1250$

plz help me with these doubts and any other common mistake which is to be avoided as i can afford a refusal of application as i don't have enough time to send it again. :(
thanks to all

Hi Dr Vishal,

1. Proof of fund you must submit it with your initial application which should be certified by bank in canadian dollars only.
2. It's better to avoid to pay by credit cards. i recommend to pay it by bank draft.
3. Yes right.

do you think i'm late????

As u said most of your paperwork is complete and u r just waiting for IELTS result which will comes on 27th then my suggestion is do apply on 28th,29th, or 30th of Dec2011 ASAP. if u will then i don't think so u r late..

you are not late untill your NOC CAP is available & you apply before end of June, 2012 (if cap is available).

OMM

Please send in your package the VERY day you rcv your IELTS results. The CAPS update on the website is running on a 2 month back log.
So the update you see now is actually for 3rd week of Sep.
So hurry!!!!

hello there ,
i have a doubt, i am the principle applicant with my wife wo is a graduate and my 10 months old son as dependent on.
1) can i fill in my mother as a dependent on me as she lives seperate from my father and is totally dependent on me ???
2) i have planned that after the PR i would go alone to canada for the first time, as my skilled occupation (dentist 3113) regulate one. i would clear everything for licencing and call them once i'm setteled. can i do that???
3) the generic form 008 asks whether the depent are coming with you to canada or not and if not than why, what do i fill in this???
they are going to come but not now after i am licenced.

about the proof of fund :
i need to have 17011 $ around 8,50,550 INR. will a bank certificate for that days account balance in the bank will do???
or should i get a certificate from the CA for me , MY wife with all the evaluation of my libalities life a car loan of 4lakhs + personal loan of 3 lakhs alongs with immovable asset of my house 20lakhs and the car i have of around 3L???

please give your valuable guidance,
regards,
Dr Vishal Jain.

1. Family members that you can include in your application are: spouse, common-law partner, dependent children, dependent child of a dependent child.
2. Yes you can go to Canada alone and you can sponsor your dependents later. But you need to declare them all in your application and pay their fees.
3. In the IMM0008ENU_2d Generic Application Form, you can check the box asking if dependent is accompanying you to Canada.

POF: the best document for a POF is a bank certificate, it can be your bank or your wife's bank or joint account. Once you are filling-up the forms, you will be asked for your total assets, liabilities and settlement fund amount. I'm not sure about your house or car if can be considered. The best are liquid assets. ;D

finally got police verification certificates done!!!

1. PCC could have been done later when the file reaches NDVO.
2. For proof of funds just show the cash statement of your bank certified by any Govt. certified currency exchange agency . I suggest do not indulge into more details, just keep it simple.
3. Send you application ASAP it will take at least 5-6 days to reach by DHL.

All the Best, Wishes!

if my bank account has just 2.5 lakhs (4840$) is bank statement for the same will be fine as for a family of three i'm suppose to have 17011$ ????
