Hello everyone. I am about to gather all documents to apply PR under CEC. My job title is Engineer in Training and I shall apply under 2132 Mechanical Engineer. However in the NOC description it states I need a professional license, which I am working towards it but don't have it as of now. So am I still under 2132 or is there any alternatives?
I am on PGWP right now and I will be applying Feb next year (with Express Entry).
Thanks!

ah... no, that's not what it says. It says that you need the professional license to:
- approve engineering drawings and reports
- use the title "Professional Engineer (P.Eng)"
It also says that you can register after graduating with an engineering degree, but that you need 3-4 years of experience before you can take the exam and become licensed.
So, yes, you can use 2132 as long as you are not claiming to be a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.), and as long as your job duties do not include approving engineering drawings and reports : )
Having said that, I do not know what your job duties and responsibilities are, so I can't say if that's the right NOC for you...
Thank you for your responds. I was not reading the NOC description right then.
I am registered with APEGS (engineer's regulating body in Sask.) as an engineer-in-training. Most of my job duty is to create drawings and do calculations and reports (then sometimes have a P.Eng. approving my work) so I believe I am good on that
Still scared a bit about Express Entry tho, it's almost end of August and not much detail is out...
