hello.
i have been reading this forum for hours before i send my application.
and all of sudden, it gave me one serious worry.

I plan to apply outland and will go to canada (leave in a month after send application) to visit my in- laws(they have not seen our new born baby, yet).

My concern is if there is problem at the airport.

There are couple of reasons for my concern.

1. I visited Canada Nov. 2012 and left Dec. 2012 (had some commucation problem, but received visitor stamp on my passport)

This happened after i left canada.
I forwarded my address to my sister's and after i left, authorities ( not sure police or Border ppl) came to my sister's apartment and try to arrest her. They thought she was me and my sister showed her passport and told them i left country already.
- I left canada Feb. 2012. At that moment, i was implied status waiting for result of restoration of status. But i could not wait longer so left canada without knowing that I was approved or refused.

2. after that incident, i changed my address to my in-laws'.
My mother in- laws told me that I received a letter from local CIC office to have an interview- The letter was issued last May.
It seems CIC does not track my immigration record.
So i sent a mail to local CIC office stated that I left Canada last Dec. and current live in S. korea with husband etc. also sent photo copy of our ( mine and my husband) airplane tickets.

3. since that, i have not herad anything from CIC or local office. no phone call, no letter, no drop by my in-law's house to arrest me.

4. i am still worried and concern after i read what happen to others at the customs.

please repley me, thank you.l

You are South Korean?
In any case, there might be a problem at the airport. There will certainly be questions. Bring a return ticket, proof of ties to South Korea such as a lease, mortgage or property deed, proof of bank accounts, proof of a job such as letter from your boss giving you time off, anything like that you can think of. Also bring a copy of the fee receipt for your PR application, a copy of the sponsorship approval letter if you get one, and a copy of the PR application. I would also bring proof you left Canada before when you said you did.

People who do not need a visa to enter Canada usually have no trouble at the border trying to cross when they have a PR application in process, but because of your history I would prepare proof you will be leaving Canada, and proof of when you left last time.
