Hello,

I'm a Canadian Permanent Resident.
I attempted to sponsor my ex fiance for a tourist visa when we were still together.
She was living overseas.
I signed an affidavit of support and guarantee for the 2 week visit.
Tourist visa application was refused.
We ultimately broke up.

Fast-forward to today.
I have a new partner that I intent to marry in Canada.
When we do marry, I will sponsor her PR application from within Canada.
She is living here on a student visa.

Am I supposed to mention the denied tourist visa for my ex girlfriend when I sponsor my new partners PR application?

No, TRVs don’t have any concept of sponsorship. You only provided supplementary documents, but it was ultimately your ex-GF’s TRV application alone.
