Just looking for some thoughts on my status, as I'm not too sure if I'm IP1 or IP2.
Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements. Review of medical results: You passed the medical exam. Review of additional documents: We do not need additional documents. Interview: You do not need an interview. Biometrics: Completed. Background check: We are processing your background check. Final decision: Your application is in progress.
Interestingly my Background Check status has said "we are processing..." since I received AOR.
The "IP1"/"IP2" distinction is whether or not your background check has commenced. If not yet, IP1. If it has, IP2. So in your case, it states they are processing your background check which would put you in the IP2 stage.
These terms are purely constructs of this forum community and have no meaning at IRCC. It also does not necessarily mean that if you see one or the other that your application is any nearer to being finalised than someone with a different status. The only way to know what is going on with an application is to order GCMS notes through ATIP.
