I came to the US in 2008 on F1 Visa. I did a change of status in the US in 2012 to H1B and have been working on valid I797 through H1B extensions. Current I 797 is valid till next year end. I never went outside the US to get an H1B stamp on my passport. I am planning to do soft landing in Canada for my PR in January. Would I be able to utilize the AVR process to come back to the US without getting a US Visa.
