Hi Friends,
I have filed MPNP application in Dec 2012 from INDIA.
I got Medical Request yesterday & Immigration asked for birth certificate.
The problem is - "I don't have a birth certificate" My parents did not register my birth. Back in 1980's in INDIA, most of the births were not registered due to lack of official system.
What is the alternative to Birth Certificate? i.e. which other documents can i provide to Immigration which holds good?
Please help me out on this matter. I highly appreciate any response to this query.
Thanks & Regards,
SIDHU

Hi Sidhu,
I have had the same issue. I also do not have a Birth certificate as my birth was not recorded. So, Initially I had submitted my birth certificate which was issued by the Indian Consulate. CIC returned me the whole application to me saying that they can not consider the Consulate issued birth certificate. Instead I could have submitted my 10th class certificate. But the problem is, my 10th class certificate doesn't show either my full name or my father's. So, that also doesn't work.
So, I have got NO BIRTH RECORD Certificate from the local municipality office and it worked out. Along with that I had provided an affidavit which I got from my both parents providing all my birth details and confirming that they are my mother and father.
Also, I have added one more SELF declaration document where I had provided all my birth details and signed the document.
This way, it worked out in my came. It was exactly the same thing with my wife's case too.
So, you may try doing the same. Hope it helps you to go further. Please let me know if you have further questions. The best way is, send me a personal message so that I will respond you immediately.
Thanks,
Sarayu.

Hi Sidhu
http://www.blsindia-canada.com/cert_dob.php follow the procedure and get your Certificate.
After getting that send it to CIC along with your 10th class certificate.
