Already scheduled for a landing interview but we did not receive any letter from IRCC?

Hello everyone,

Me and my wife are applying for spousal sponsorship since Nov 7, 2017. We both received letter of approval on Oct 2, 2018 (both met eligibility for sponsor and become PR) and Decision Made on both side on Oct 3, 2018.

Since then, we did not get any email from IRCC so we made an enquiry email to IRCC on Oct 31, 2018 asking what will be the next step for us.

Today, November 1, I got a reply and the agent told me local IRCC office has sent out invitation letter for appointment (landing interview I guess) on October 29, 2018 to our email they have on file and our appointment date is Nov 5, 2018. However, we both checked our email (including spam folder) and did not see any letter from IRCC office. Is it normal for local office to send out to wrong email or they just forgot to click send button?

Really random question - is your email an Apple @icloud.com or @me.com email? There has been a major service disruption to that email service and emails are delayed days. I just started getting emails now from October 27, 2018.

We both have @gmail.com accounts. Not sure if we can go to the appointment without the letter because we have never received it ...

When you got your letter of approval, did you get it in the mail or email?

I would just go to the appointment. Worst case scenario is that you need to come back.

We got our approval letters on the email address I provided when I applied. They always communicated with us through that email regarding sponsor application. I think I will have to print out the email that the agent responded to our enquiry and bring it to the interview. Hopefully they will have no trouble over that..

Did you receive landing interview letter after?? If not, can you please say what did you do and how you proceed?? Thanks.
