I am planning to apply for Canadian PR (FSW) through new express entry process which starts this January. Professionally now I am eligible for 2174 and 2171. My education profile is of B-Tech in Electronics and Communication and my job profile is of Software Engineer. I am a certified professional in the technology that I am currently working on. I am having a total experience of 5 years. I had also covered few Computer related (both theory and practical) topics during my engineering.
Would this mismatch in education and professional profile impact my eligibility in applying for FSW. Please provide your suggestion on this.
This is a quite common scenario with many candidates. You should be able to award point for the work exp and qualification which would make you eligible for the EE. However, as of now we have to wait for the EE criteria. You should be fine I guess.
Iron,
My job offer did not cost me any money either before or after offer as made. Be careful of any firm that demands money for a job offer---sounds like a scam to me!
Additional Note added: "Sending more than one application does not increase your chances of being accepted for permanent residence. All eligible applications received before January 1st will be considered for processing based on current guidelines. Fees will be charged for each one."
Go to above link --> Note (at beginning of web page) --> Important --> Point 4.
P.S.: It is not saying that FSW will stop accepting application after introducing EE, but that above sentence means that FSW application received before January 1st, 2015 will be processed under current guidelines, and application received after that will be processed under new guidelines of EE. New guidelines will be made public on January 1st, 2015 as per Tweet made by Immigration Minister Chris Alexander.
