If your score is within 2 years from date of application, then it will be considered valid. Please bear in mind that CIC is also coming up with a min requirement for score in each category. As per the latest communication the min limit is going to be 7 CLB.

WITH WHAT I HAVE SEEN YOU HAVE DONE WELL IN THE IELTS EXAMS.YOU DON'T NEED TO SIT FOR ANOTHER EXAMS BECAUSE THE RESULTS OF IELTS VALID FOR TWO SOLID YEARS.ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS TO WAIT FOR CIC ANNOUNCEMENT TO EVALUATE YOUR CREDENTIALS.
@Nomansohail- Your IELTS score is just fine i think. And i have the same score. Eeven i am eagerly waiting for the lists to open up as well. BTW wat category are you applying under?
As per the information from CIC Website, they say that new applications will start in "Early 2013" and not "January 2013". So yes, it may be March or April 2013 when they announce the new intake of applications. Therefore, it might be better to retake IELTS (just to avoid last minute inconvenience etc.). Just a suggestion.
@Induvision- My ielts expires in April 2013. If they open the lines in March for application, would my scores be still valid? I mean if i make sure that my file reaches their office before my IELTS expires is it considered still valid?
