The Government of Quebec announced today that it will extend the duration of the current Quebec Skilled Worker (QSW) program. The QSW program, initially scheduled to accept applications until March 31st, 2013, will continue accepting applications until July 31st, 2013.
This extension is particularly beneficial to eligible applicants who are working towards completing their applications before the current QSW program undergoes any changes.

July 31st will also mark the end of a temporary ban on new applications being accepted under the Quebec Investor and Quebec Entrepreneur and Self-Employed programs. The Government of Quebec has not yet announced details about the future of these programs.

Any communication done after 1st april 2013 is to be done at Montreal.

I don't think a Pakistan diploma would be equivalent to a Quebec diploam. You should NOT be checking that box.

I am planning to apply for CSQ, while filling the application form, I countered below question of Main csq form;

8. Are you the holder of one or several of the following diplomas (check the appropriate boxes: see instructions)
Diploma or training recognized as equivalent by a Québec regulatory body (with the exception of a diploma in medicine)

I have done MBA and BBA from Pakistan, what should i check/tick? yes or no? is my diploma automatically equivalant by Quebec regulatory body?

Hi all ,
I also applied since end of May 2011 anf i received a letter that everything is in order. And my file is opened on 10th of Aug 2011. From that date i didn't get anything. It's Taking too much time, when i applied i thought that the whole process will take 4 years.It's mentioned on immigration web site that people applied before Nov 2010 they should normally be called for an interview and every quarter they move one month only.
And the federal processing time in Abu Dhabi now i 37 and it's going higher every time.
So asuming that everything is fine i will get my visa in 2018.
It's really unacceptable especially when my kids will have 12 & 10 years at that time and it will be more dificult for them ti fit in Quebec.
They should take the circumstances in consideration especially for family.
I'm disapointed thanks to have such Forum to discuss and share our situation.

Hi all,

I am going to apply for QSW but first can somebody tell me what is the different between QSC and QSW? Should I apply to both of them? which one should I apply first? As I know, QSC package contains form A-0520-AA (application for selection certificate - skilled worker), A-1520-AA (Supporting documents) and A-0522-OA (Contract respecting financial self-sufficiency. On the other hand, there are many more application forms for QSW?

One more thing, is the QSW program will be cosed on July 31, 2013?

Hi all,

QSW is Queveb Skilled Worker, actually it is QSWP, Queveb Skilled Worker Program just like FSWP (Federal Skilled workers Program.

What forms you have mentioned here are correct, just go ahead with it
