Hi,
My Visa expires in 30 days, and I got a letter saying my medical care will expire as well until a new Visa is received. I have read that while my application is being processed I can stay under "Implied Status."
Is there a way to keep my healthcare while on implied status?
Yes, if you write to Alberta Health Care and submitt proof of your implied status they will give you an extension (such as the receipt and online confirmation of filing, if any). I'm not sure of the time length of the extension but when we extended ours they just said it would continue and did not give a time period. This is all covered in the International section of the AHC website.
When you say your "application" what application do you mean? PR? visitor extension? OWP?
Thanks for your answer. That really helps.
The application I referred to is my PR app.
