I have received the following from IRCC:
- Bio metrics Request
- Medical Request
- Sponsor Approval
- Applicant Approval
The Alberta Health Care website states that "To be eligible for AHCIP coverage while waiting for your Permanent Resident (PR) confirmation from IRCC, you must have a valid Canada entry document or a letter from IRCC indicating a “positive first decision” has been made regarding your application for permanent residency."
Do any of the letters I received from IRCC count as a positive first decision in the eyes of Alberta Health Care?
Note the word “or” in the requirements. If you have valid status in Alberta (TRV, SV, WP) and you are not waiting on an extension, you are eligible for AHCIC coverage.
