We got endorsed by NB province to apply for PR through the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program, and finally got a PR status.
Are we obligated to stay in the atlantic provinces, since we are having a hard time finding a job and available family doctor here, or can we choose to live anywhere in Canada?
It's tricky, and has been debated a lot on these forums (you can search it).
Constitutionally, once you are a Permanent Resident, you are free to live and work anywhere in Canada. So, technically legally once you have PR you can move anywhere. However, I *suspect* PR could be revoked if IRCC can prove that you misled them in your declarations of intent to settle permanently in NB.
Well technically it would be province intent to revoke PR not CIC. If the province finds evidence of misrepresentation in an applicant's intent to not live within the province, they can notify CIC about it. But rarely happens now days I think.
