I am planning to apply for the AINP. Now I have NOC Category C level (Retail Sales) job. My work permit is is valid for another 9 months. I heard they have extended the processing time.
So can I join school for any certificate courses to remain in Canada?
Do you know any other option to extend my Post Graduate Work Permit?

longest possible duration you can apply for Post graduate work permit is 3 years only if you graduated from 2/3 year diploma program or 4 year degree from registered institution.
if you somehow have received less than 3 years and you have graduated from one of those schools, you can apply for extension till your 3 year are used up.
and Yes I think you can apply for study permit to stay in Canada as you apply for school.
The options are very limited for you. You cannot extend you PGWP and you can get it only once. If you receive your AINP, you can apply for open work permit but you don't have that. If you can directly apply for federal PR, you can again apply for open work permit but i don't know if you are already eligible for that or not. Other than that you can ask your employer to get you an LMO to stay in canada.
If you go back to school, you won't be able to generate one year PGW experience for express entry/CEC class.
If you go back to school, you won't be able to apply for AINP as all streams in AINP want you to have an alberta job with alberta employer.
if you go back to school, you won't get another PGWP as it is issued only once.
Your only option is to Get LMIA or Nomination.
AINP sucks so they wont give you nomination unless you get new work permit(LMIA). i know its all fucked up right now just because of AINP.
