Summary of my application so far

ITA - 30th January 2019
AOR - 23rd March 2019

Cancellation / Rejection based on R10 - 6th May 2019
It was because IMM5409 wasn’t notarized, but neither the IMM5409 form nor the application required the document to be notarized.

Sent an email explaining the above to a few from IRCC that I came across on LinkedIn - 9th May 2019

Application Reopened - 10th May 2019
BIL - 10th May 2019

GCMS Ordered - 25th June 2019
GCMS Generated - 26th June 2019
GCMS Delivered - 8th August 2019

Eligibility - Not Started
Medical - Not Started
Security - Not Started
Criminality - Passed
Info Sharing - Complete

Same status when I called on 26th August 2019 and 2nd October 2019.

The agent said since there was a reconsideration made for the application already it doesn’t fall under the standard 6-month timeline nor does she have an ETA/timeline for my application. I asked her if she could send a reminder to the office that’s handling my application and she said it wouldn’t help to send a reminder.

I have ordered GCMS today again, just to see if a GCMS really helps moving an application forward. It's kind of open-ended with nothing definite at the moment.

What are my options at this point? What should I do next?

Wait. Wait.

100% agree with your agent. Since your application was rejected and had to be re-opened, you cannot expect normal processing times. The refusal and reconsideration will have added a number of months to the overall processing time of your application. There is no point sending a reminder to anyone - IRCC will process the application at their own pace. All you can do is wait. That's the only option.
