To travel through America you need a transit visa, keep that point in mind while booking your ticket.
I got my visa today for Stouffville college (ACCA) , It's really hard to finid a ticket

Nothing much just about your course, college and your previous studies. don't Panic nothing's so difficult.

any idea if there is a good chance of a visa extension once there, if needed to complete my course?

Unless you Drop a year, change your course, change college, don't get tickets (tickets = fine you get when you break rule in Canada. even crossing road not from zebra crossing or at wrong light will make you a 100-200$ ticket. be Aware!)

will i be issued a student card or something?

nd first thing you must do ASA u arrive Canada is Open Bank Account.

hey mate congrats!! I'm an ACCA wannabie aswell. I was interested for LSBF but somehow wasnt able to fit in that spec they had I'm already in Professional Stage.

So whats the plan? and hows it going?

As most of you may know i applied last December and got my med call in late July. I got the call to pick up my PP on this Friday and picked it from Gerrys on Monday.

now i need some info:

1)what DOCUMENTATION do I need to take and keep with me at all times during my flight (other then my PP of course) also teh amount of $CAD i should keep with me.

2)the only flight available to me is for the 5th, however my classes start on the 4th (does anyone know where i could get to some tickets, doesn't matter if it is from Islamabad or Lahore)

3)what exactly will happen when i land in Canada (as in regards to customs, immigration officers, interviews and the like?) They have only given me a VISA on my PP and a letter stating i should show it to the authorities at the Airport.

4) Can I take a flight through the US? (i have a valid US VISA) and does it matter if i land in toronto or montreal as my port of entry?

the best bank is TD bank. otherwise you can just go for any bank near to you. account creation in canada takes just 5 minutes. Believe me . it isn't like in our country. just take your offer letter and passport + 5 minutes and you are done!. and i suggest you to look a bank that offers free credit card. TD bank used to offer it earlier but now a days it asks for $500 security.

thanks man, yeah my family members there all have accounts in TD. do you have any idea if they issue Debit cards, rather than Credit?

TD is not the end of the World. Visit any bank and ask for student account. You get a debit card. Apply for Virtual Debit card as well. No charges.
