hi everyone,

We are currently waiting for an outland application that goes through the Mexico visa office. (Partner from Argentina)

We decided to go the outland way even though my common-law is living with us in Canada while waiting for the PR.
He has a multiple entry visitor visa and is not working.

My questions are:

when the Mexico visa office finally asks for my partner’s passport to be sent in:

1/ Is it ok if the passport is sent from Canada?

2/ is he supposed to get his passport mailed back to him to his address in Argentina?

3/ Does he need to enter Canada coming from Argentina or could he enter from the States?
If so, could he get his passport mailed to Canada and just take the trip across to the US and then back into Canada to re-entrer with his PR Visa?

I am sure this has been asked and answered before; I just cannot find a thread.

Thank you all so much for your help.

Cheers!

Claudia

You would be able to send passport in canada itself. You will see the canadian address with ppr and if pa is in home country then he needs to send it to cic office in that country.

Hi

He will be able to mail his passport to Ottawa. He can flagpole at the Canada-US border.
