Hi,Matthewc,
could you give me advise how to step in my situation?
In fact i got my PR card in 2004. Since then (may 2004) i have been back in my home land.
Now i want to back in Canada. Problem is that my PR card is expire and after the time I become permanent resident a get married and have child.
Now i would like to go back in Canada with my family.
I plan to apply for Travel document(humanitarian and compassionate grounds) but I worry the time they would issue it and how long after they issue can I entry Canada. I mean how long is valid that TD.?

Thank you in advance

p.s. If some one else can answer, please be so kind thank u

If you are issued a travel document (and it is a big if, as it appears you have resettled in your home country) it will usually be valid for about 3 months depending on the office. I think that you should prepare yourself for a refusal.
