I recently got the Canada Permanent Residency Confirmation document along with the VISA to enter Canada (currently I am residing in Netherlands) and my type Immigration VISA is valid till year end, I am planning to travel to Canada in October
I need to understand what are the formality I need to perform other then some document signature + Q&A session at the airport while entering Canada ?
do i also need to go to some government office to get some more formality done.
Apart from instructions here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/newcomers/after-checklist.asp you need a Canadian address for your PR card to be mailed to and depending on where you land you could get your SIN straight away at the airport else attend a Service Canada office post landing, other than that nothing much else although sure others will add something here. Plus of course at some point apply for a health card depending which province you land in how soon you can apply. Nothing more complicated really as you have completed the hardest part other than getting a job/housing of course.
