Afraid to apply under Express entry.can i apply under CEC

Hi CEC_1304,

You are right. CEC is officially not closed.
But last year December (2012)when was applying for my work permit, It took hell more time than what it was supposed to take.
When i called CIC , they told me almost everyone is on vacation.
If everyone's aware then Its cool!!!

thanks for the reply.....what do you think is the last date to apply under cec this year?
like my 12 month experience completes on 27 or 28th of december, 2014......so in that case if i apply on 28 or 29th dec.....is that will be okay???

I was just reading this thread and someone mentioned about one year experience starts on actual job start date not post graduate work permit start date

As an example , here is my situation :

I got my Post Graduate work Permit on 10th February 2014
However, I started work on 21st January 2014 on my off campus Work Permit

So my One year work experience to be eligible under CEC is complete on 22 January 2015 or 11 February 2015.

if you want to be on the safe side count your work experience from February 11 plus add some week or so.

If you are eligible and met all the required condition under CEC , go ahead and apply under CEC. don't wait for express entry.
