I did my 2nd medical in july 2017 now got stuck in BACKGROUND CHECK w8ng more than 7 months after remedical

Hahahaha my wife is already here with me from the past one year now she is going to Canada back to join her job or other stuff

Thats so nice i did the same i lived in dubai for a year with my husband then came back to canada now waiting for him to come Inshallah our security started since aug 2016 and god knows when he will get ppr but praying soon Inshallah

I wonder how long after medical before they request for ppr and then how long it takes to get back passport..

Each case is different we can't say nothing about it sometime people get ppr email in 1 month or in 2 sometimes 3 months

I dont think they go for background check after remedical. I heard security , criminality and background checked once gets done then do ask for remedical

Did you try to contact CIC or New Delhi
I would say do an inquiry either by webform, email or with MP
It shouldn’t take that long after remedical

We didn't need an interview thank god. That's so awkward if ur in uae an they asked for your interview in india. How was the interview was it easy

Omg I'm reading everyone's posts and it seems like we have a very long way left to go. This is exhausting. I can't do this anymore. We haven't even gotten the re-medical request yet, and it's been two months since the first one expired.

Whats your timeline? For us we were told 12 months now its almost 27 months still waiting..
