I applied for Alberta health card upon landing and they said they will approve it. But I am actually doing a soft landing, so I won’t be able to fulfill the 6 months residency for the health insurance. Should I notify the alberta health authority or just keep the card and not use it until it is automatically deactivated? Will any of these affect my PR? If I cancel the application it may seem like I am moving out of the nominated province which is not the case. I will move permanently in the coming year

You should have never applied for one. You likely signed a document declaring your intention to remain living in Alberta for the next 6+ months and make Alberta your permanent home. Would notify AHS who may be able to electronically cancel the card.
