If you have provided the PCC from UK for the period resided there ,its OK ,they wont ask you for the same period .They may ask for fresh PCC from India ,i.e. your current country of residing.

Hello Chigwell,

The PCC holds a validity of i guess 6 months. If your process is delayed or prolonged for any god foresaken reason, you may be asked to apply for a new PCC as the old one stands expired.

I have faced the very same situation and talking with experience.

In India, you have to apply online and take an appointment for the same.

In UK, just log onto their website and the guidelines are clearly mentioned there.

All the very best.

kindly buzz if you need more details..

Kind Regards,
Nick

Have you got your UK PCC in hand? I guess not. You might have it within a month's period after applying. Once the Visa office asks you for the same, submit it. If it takes more than 6 months or so for your MR, then possibly you would have to re-apply.
Looking at your actions, i would like to personally suggest not to move ahead of the process. For eg: Do not apply for a pcc unless its asked. Im saying this because if incase there is any delay in your case, the validity of the certificate will be void.

Note: The VO will inform what they require on their email. Do only what is asked for. They will send a very clear email. So if they ask for both PCC's then yes, u will have to apply again. The VO provides you around 30 days or so for doing this. I would suggest to start acting the day you get the email from the VO.

All the best

Kind Regards,
Nick
