Dear Canadians and Ukrainians in Canada!
We are an ordinary family of four living in Ukraine. Unfortunately, since tragic political events have taken place in Ukraine, instability in every sphere of life prevents us from normal being.
Firstly, I would like to ask you for an advice. My husband is a skilled IT-specialist, though his English requires further improvements. I am an economist (finance department) and a philologist (English, Russian and Ukrainian languages). Currently I'm on a maternity leave. Our older son is almost 4, the younger is almost 1 year old. What are our chances to get visas and a permission to immigrate to Canada? What immigration program is better to refer to? Will it be better that only my husband submits documents for visa (at first)?
Secondly, we ask for any help to rescue our family. Does anyone have a chance to provide us with an invitation letter (since we have no relatives abroad)? Will an invitation really help to get visa?
We are ready to work hard and to contribute to Canadian economy. Please, be sure that we are not looking for any material help (money, shelter etc.) I suppose, we will be able to provide ourselves abroad, but intangible assistance is highly appreciated!!!
If you require any additional personal information, we'll be pleased to give it.
We are much grateful for any information or help from your side!
Regards,
Irina

Already answered in your other thread.

@ Irina_BP,
The subject made me read your post..
Your Husband is an IT specialist and you know three languages and philologist by profession so how come you are an ordinary family.Come on Cheer up..!!We ll are unique in this world and that makes all of us extraordinary..In your case glass is not half full but I would say almost full..So get up and renounce the ordinary feeling of yourself.
Take help of www.cic.gc.ca site which is an official canadian immigration site and see in which category u or ur husband fits the most.
Hope it helps!!

Edmonta!
Your words are cheering and inspiring indeed! :)
And I understand what you mean: each member of our family and our case in general (like anyone else) is unique and inimitable. That is why there are so many posts, questions and clarifications here: everybody needs attention to his/her own unique situation.
Many thanks for the link. Currently I'm studying CIC web-site properly.
In effect, we are going to think over "Skilled workers" program. Therefore, I've got one more question: In case my husband or I find an appropriate job offer in Canada, will it be possible for all family members to immigrate? Or only the applicant is allowed to cross the border?
Thank you in advance!
Regards,
Irina

Hi,

I know lot of Russian/Ukraine families stay in Canada and do customer service as Canada demands Bilingual /Multilungual jobs.Lots of scopes in Canada.Initial days are hard to find out a job but lot of scopes for doing education/upgrading yourself.Try to come here with PR that the best way to come.So of Europeans come here under work visa and later on apply for PR.My collegue is from France -25 yrs old,she came from Paris, she know French and English .She is now working in a very reputed Financial Institution in Canada. So from Europe what I know you can apply under work visa.
