Hi, i am kinda new in this forum but i'm reading some of the posts that interests me. I have noticed that some of the members have done their medical in advance without the MR, is it really possible to do that? My ecas is In Process since March 16, 2012 and awaiting for MR. My question is, can I also do the medicals in advance and how am I going to do that? My VO is Buffalo and filed my application last May 14, 2010.
Your response is highly appreciated....
Thank you very much....
Hi unfortunately, the explanation given by Qorax is for those who VO has ACTUALLY SENT MR, but for some reason (lost in the post, consultant withholding them etc) have not received the forms.
You CANNOT do MR without VO asking you to! At least that was what my VO TOLD me when I enquired.
"Hello,
Please be advised that medical instructions have NOT been issued to you at this time. You can't do the medical examinations when we have not requested it. Your file is still in queue for review.
Thank you.

Please check this line by qorax, in the 1st thread itself
Important: If u do not get the CHC's nod to do the meds, remember the meds expire by 1yr & your visa/s will be valid till that period 'only' [except if anyone of your dependent's Pps expire before that, then it'd be earlier]. So, doing the meds early could be risky - as it might offer u lesser time to 'land'. If that's Ok with u, plz be free to get the meds done earlier.
He is saying that it is possible, but advising against it as it doesn't speed up the process and will reduce the time to land.

So, nano24482, go ahead and do the medical check up without being asked by the VO and when they disregard it and ask for a new one you can tell them "You must accept the one I did in advance, because Qorax said!" ;D

I am just answering the querry. I do not intend to do any advance medicals.
Qorax stated that it is possible to do medicals without forms(ie advanced), he advices against it.

Not recommended and probably you cannot do.
And as above mentioned, what's the point.
Rules / Instruction change all the time.... May be previously you could, buy mandie posted the latest reply, direct from VO.

Now, in express entry, you MUST get your medicals done BEFORE you submit your eAPR (electronic app for PR).
IRCC no longer requests for medicals.
In fact, you can't submit your complete application without your medicals, since there will be a upload field for medicals when you submit your application.
