Admission deferral and re-entry to Canada on study permit

Hello All,

My application to study in Canada was approved . A permit authorizing my studies was issued to me on my arrival to Canada on Sept 2019
and I joined my University for Sept 2019 intake for masters studies in Canada.
But due to family emergency, I returned to India on last week of Sept 2019. So at that time it was not possible for me to continue my studies and therefore i was issued a deferral letter from University for January 2020 intake to continue studies from next term and there was no fee deduction from their end
So as now i want to continue my master studies from January 2020 from same university, I would like to know -
-How can i do it with the present Study Permit whose validity is till Dec 2020 (One year)?
- Can i continue my studies and re- enter Canada with present Study permit or do i need to reapply / extend it before going to Canada?
- Will there be any issue at POE?
Please give some advice.

Hi Thanks for reply. I hav valid defferal letter and study permit. I even contacted IRCC for the same and they told i can enter till SP is valid. but my concern is that do i need to show any other proof like proof of funds again at PoE.
2. How can i apply online for SP extension online? i am not getting the link.

Yes i checked online. my SP is still valid
