One little question - I recently received my CORP, and we are preparing to land in Canada in two months.. My husband (sponsor) has moved to a different city last week, and I was wondering if he needs to change his address on his ECAS account???
assuming you didn't move to or from quebec to a new province if you have the copr there's no reason to change the sponsor's address. at this point all that's left to do is land. at the landing the officer will confirm your new address so cic can send your pr card. there's no other reason for them to contact you or the sponsor. if you want to change his address on ecas, it's not going to affect anything. it will really only be to ease your mind.
He is moving from Saskatchewan to Alberta.
Thank you for your response!
One more thing.. the landing guide that came with my CORP said, when landing I need to have with me all the reference letters from my previous employers and school diplomas with translations. They may need to see them. Never heard of anybody being asked to present these docs.
the letter is a form letter sent to everyone who's approved for pr. that doesn't apply to spousal sponsorship. having those things may prove helpful in getting settled. it's not required to have them.
Ok, I see now. Thank you so much!
One last question.. how detailed should be the list of items I bring to Canada? What is important to state and what is not?
