Hi all,
I feel lucky to come across this website. I want your help guys:
I have been applying for immigration to canada 5 years ago. Last April I was asked to do the medical tests. when I did themn the doc told me that everything is Ok, but I was surprised yesterday when I received a notice that I have to do additional medical tests (X ray and sputum tests). Is this normal??? Is there a risk to be disqualified?? or it is just a kind of routine done with other applicants.
I need your help
Thanks a lot

They have found something in the lung x-ray, so you will have to do the sputum test, 6-8 weeks for results. If you have active TB, then yes you can be refused. It is not normal for most applicants.
Hi PMM,
When I asked my doc, he told me that the same thing happened with many applicants, but none was found to have active TB, so maybe they are procedures to make sure that everything is OK, aren't they??

Hi PMM,
May be you're right, but frankly speaking, I feel alright and I don't have any breathing difficulties. I heard many applicants who were also asked to undergo the same additional medical tests and eveything went well with them. Now, i think you've got a clear picture of my case, do you think such inconviniences may cause me to be rejected???
Thanks once again.

friends, my doctor informed me that there is a fibre scar on the lungs but this is not an issue at all. Now CHC sent email to attend additional medicals and the passport is on its way. Any idea what can be the tests and how long it might take to get the visitor visa?
